From January 2021 to March 2023 I was the Product Owner of MAIZE.plus, a B2B e-learning product.
The product
As a consultancy firm, at Maize we are aware that no matter how good an organisational design or an innovation strategy might be, it is going to fall short as long as people in the company do not have the right mindset to embrace change.
MAIZE.plus is an e-learning platform designed to help a workforce develop a common, innovation-driven mindset by helping it truly comprehend the contemporary world. Our courses cover a full range of topics, including the latest business trends, society changes, groundbreaking technology, the future of work, culture, design and even notions of marketing.
The product was born in 2018 and could since count on clients such as Alfa Laval, Henkel, Novartis, Snam. It is available in 5 languages and it is entirely made by us, from the product to its content.
My role
I was the product owner for two years, from early 2021 to early 2023. I didn’t work on the design of the product, but rather on the product strategy and business sustainability of the service.
After defining the value proposition, that was still missing, the team and I worked on building an economic dashboard to monitor the product’s sustainability and marketing effectiveness, usage analytics, and customer satisfaction metrics – user NPS, unsubscribing clients interviews, etc.
All this eventually brought us to defining a product roadmap that was designed to let us be truer to our value proposition and to work on features that could actually help our clients get what they wanted from MAIZE.plus.
